The New Plymoiith Club's green was in capital order yesterday, though the rain on Wednesday made it a little en the heavy side. Particular interest centred in a game between the two rinks chosen to represent* the club at the Auckland tournament. At the twentyfirst head (tho tournament limit) Smart's score was 21 to Gray's 17, but at the twenty-fifth head Gray led by 29 to 21. The following games were played : Rawlings, Clarke, George, Ewing (skip), 19 ; Wright, Monteath, Burgess, C. Rundle (skip), 20. Marks, J. C. Morey, Gibbons, Humphries (skip), 15; T. Avery, Brooking, Alexander, Hill (skip), 40. Collins, Baily, Govett, McKellar (skip) 24 ; Morrison, Ad. Goldwator, Ab. Goldwater, Smith (skip), 29. H. Smart, H. Goldwater,S. Rundle, A. D. Gray (skip), 29; Bullot, G. Grey, Ward, A. K. Smart (skip), 21. Ponn, Hall (skip), 28; W. P v undle, W. Morey (skip), 24. Spencer, Cutfield (skip), 19; Lewis, Furlong (skip), 10. Good nominations have been received for the club competitions. Eltham defeated Manaia by 82 to 71 in a four-rink match on the former's green on Wednesday.
