DESTROYING INFECTED APRICOTS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 5. A shipment of apricots from Parramatta, Ryde, and other places near Sydney, which arrived by yesterday's steamer, proved to be affected by the Queensland, fly. The great majority of the fruit was free from the parasite, but much was destroyed on account of contiguity. The number of cases destroyed totalled 300, and only 50 got through. These were sold this morning at satisfactory prices, but the loss on the condemned fruit will total alout £250. Th© plums by the same boat vere free from the parasite, but the shipment was small. This fruit realised good prices at this morning's auction siles.
