Results: Hurdles.—Lady Clements 1, Hautapu 2, St. Harp 3. Scratched—Omati, Aqua Regia, Reporter. Won by a length. Cachuca fell. Time, 3min 21sec. Stanley Handicap.—Noteorine 1, Celerity 2, Quadroon 3. Scratched—Miss Dinnie', Henry Havelock. Won by two lengths. Time, 5 2-ssec. Spring Handicap—Shrapnel 1, Scotty 2, Syren 3. Scratched: Waipuna, English. Won by a length. Time, 1 mm. 43 l-ssec.
WOODVILLE, December 4. . There is delightful weather for the opening day of the races. There is a large attendance. Maiden Handicap.—Lochiela 1, San Jose 2, Bantour 3. Scratched—Rongokako, Commander, Ikon, Whifitara, Ru, Baron. Won by half a "length. Hack Hurdles.—Taura 1, Hamelia 2, Waipu 3. Scratched—Te Arai, Liberator, Cassiopea. Won by a couple of lengths.
Owners are reminded that acceptances for the Auckland Racing. Club's summer meeting close on Friday, December 6th, at 9 p.m. fthe events are Auckland Cup, Railway Handicap, and Grafton Hurdles. The Waitara Racing Club has a notice to bookmakers in this issue. Owners are reminded that nominations and entries for the Maiden Hack at the summer meeting of tho Rangitikei Racing Club close on Saturday next, 7th inst., at 9 p.m. The programme is advertised in this issue.
