SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS.
(Received November 9, 7.23 a.m.) LONDON, November 8. In the course of a political speech Dr. Jameson, Premier of Cape Colony, hinted that the Hon. W. P. Schreiner, exPremier of the colony, who recently announced .his intention of re-entering politics, might possibly be a leader of a new Unionist Party. This Parjby would consist of those who have hitherto been known as the Progressives. The present broad policy of this party, lie said, was to develop agriculture, commerce, and mining, and put the coun^ try's interest before that of party.
