FIRE ON A STEAMER.
A NARROW ESCAPE. GARGO DESTROYED. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright* (Received November 9, 10.7 a.m.) - FREMANTLE, November 9.! The Indramayo has arrived from Now York. A fire broke out on the vessel on October 17 in a small after-hold containing 50 tons of cargo. In the next hold, separated by a steel partition, were twenty thousand cases of turpentine. By" strenuous efforts the small hold was filled with water and the fire was extinguished, though the contents were destroyed.
