RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 28. Training operations at Riccarton this morning wero uninteresting. Gold Crest easily beat All Red over a milo in lmin. 46 l-ssec. Paritutu did seven furlongs in lmin. 32 1-oscc. Swimming Bert took a second longer. Frisco' and Apa ran a milo in lmin. 46 1-oscc, finishing strongly. Both horses went freely. Dawn was too good for Kairoma over half-a-mile. St. Joe and Asteroid finished together, covering a mile in lmin. 45 sec. Maniaopoto was exorcised in sweaters. Glentulloch was an absen- ' tee, having bruised his heel during a gallop on Saturday.
