dissolution of a Fire Board on the application ,o£ the. Board and the contributory local authority. In the latter case the property and liabilities of the [ Board will pass to the local authority. Each Fire Board will 'consist of seven members. Existing Boards will continue and provision is made' for the disqualification of any member of a Board who is adjudicated bankrupt, assigns or attempts to assign his estate, compounds with his creditors for less than 20s in the £, is convicted on or indicted of any crime, or who becomes of • unsound mind ; also, no one may be elected a member of a Board who holds or accepts any office or place of profit under the Board, or who is concerned or interested in any contract made by the Board. If the local authority or insurance company fail to elect a member of a Board the Governor in Council may appoint any person whomsoever to the position. Elections are to take place in May in every alternate year. In regard to revenue and contributions, the Bill goes on the lines of the existing law arid the amending Bill already introduced. It is provided that each Fire Board must hold at least four meetings in every year — in June, September, December and March — and that four members will constitute a quorum. Travelling expenses of members may be paid. Any person who gives a false alarm of fire is liable to a month's imprisonment or to a fine not exceeding £50. The passing of this Consolidation Bill will of course render Unnecessary the amending Bill already introduced.
