NEW YORK, Awgust 13.

Further liquidation on a large scale at New York caused sensational declines. In a few minutes, on heavy sales from London, Northern Pacific Railroad shares dropped five points, while Canadian Union Pacific, Baltimore, and Ohio fell 3 points in half an hour. Later, supporting orders checked the demoralisation, but the prices of many shares were far below the rates of Saturday, and the close showed the sharpest collapse during 1907.
