SEAMEN'S DUTIES.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 14. A fireman on the Atlienic, named Patrick Cunningham, was charged at the Magistrate's Court with disobedience of an order to muster for boat drill on the voyage out from England. Defendant contended that boat drill was outside the work he had contracted to perform. The Magistrate, Mr W. G. Riddell. said the order was a legitimate one, and crews must become proficient in boat drill. Defendant was fined 20s.
