LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

Per Press Association. I WELLINGTON, August 13. The Council met at 2.30. The Reserve Fund Securities Bill was put through all its stages.

Sir Maurice O'Rorke gave notice to move for the re-establishment of the provincial form of Government.

Hon. T. Kelly urged the Government to get a copy of the report on patent medicines just presented to the Commonwealth Parliament.

The Attorney-General said he would endeavour to get a copy.

The following Bills were read a first time, on the motion of the AttorneyGeneral : Chattels Transfer Act Amendment, Evidence Relating to Matters Pending Before Foreign Tribunals, Amendment of Indictable Offences Summary Jurisdiction Act.

On tho motion of Hon. O. Samuel it was resolved that one set of statutes of New Zealand should be annotated.

The Council then adjourned till iiext Tuesday.
