GOOLD IN PRISON.

MARSEILLES, August 12.
Goold twice violontly attacked his fel-loW-prisoners. Ho threw himself against the door of the cell, crying loudly to be let out.
Ho was overpowered. Orders were issued that he should bo kept under close observation.
A number of bruises have been discovered on Mrs Goold's body, indicating a recent struggle.

French newspapers state that the police consider Mrs Goold the author of the murder and her husband a morphomaniac, who is physically and mprally unable to resist her. '•• •
