GOVERNMENT TO REMAIN IN OFFICE. United Press Association. — By Electric Tekgraph. — Copyright. BRISBANE, July 30. The Legislative Assembly met to-day. Mr Kidston, the Premier, announced that the Government had received from the. Labour Party, a premise of general suppor-t, and under the circumstances the Government would continue to carry on tho administration. Mr Bowman, leader of the Labour party, stated that at the Premier's suggestion his party had agreed to sup-port-the Government so long as it was not asked to support anything conflicting with the Labour platform, and to give the Government a general support,- while maintaining freedom to criticise any of its measures.
