. T LONDON, July 25. The Hon. Sydney Buxton, replying to Mr^Henniker Heaton, expressed tho opinion that the weight of evidence overwhelmingly favoured ratifying the Radio-Telegraphic Convention. The' Berlin correspondent of the Daily Express states that a powerful German syndicate is endeavouring to acquire a controlling interest in tho Marconi Cofljiplfcny and dependent companies. Thfe recent Convention compelled the MaYcoMi station to accept messages from Germsji and other rival systems, thus depjriVing the British- Company of its proaoDiimance. The German syndicate, uncfersranding the Marconi .Company's chagrito at the British Government agr^emg to the Convention, has chosen thik opportunity to bid for the Marconi properties. i ' T
