The senior match-between these teams was controlled l>y. Mr Proctor, and played i'A the presence of v fair number of spectators. A' cold, stiflE breeze was jlowing, Inglewood having the use of it in the first spell, but although the reds Occasionally workod play down to Eltham's 25 the Wq.cks were successful In keeping theiu lines' clear, and three times encroached on the reds' lino. In the second dpell MctJracken (who played x fine game) crossed the Kne in a fair position, May doing the needful with the place kick. Eotier (Inglewood) olayed a sterling game at half and was easily the best player on the ground. The other backs, excepting De Launay, were poor, but the' forwards held their own with the home vanguard remarkably well. After an absence from the olaying field for three seasons D. Moir filled the position of full back for Eltham and did some good work,, but the play of the home backs generally was disappointing and were it not for the forwards standing up to their work the home team would have been beaten. The game was well cbntested and players generally were well behaved, but the Eltham players made no mistake in grassing Potier whenever he secured the ball, as his , movements generally 3pelt danger to Efthftm, p
