(Owing to the plague the clubs were quarantined, and under the circumstances the proprietors offered to surrender to the police.) SYDNEY NOTES. (Received March 27 ,10.42 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 27. Royal Blue did a fine 1 gallop' over a mile in 1.45-Ji Collarit, with a middle weight up, ran a mile and a quarter in 2.21, but finished badly. The best gallop by a Cup candidate was done by Dividend* who covered two miles in 3.47£. In connection with the Inglewood Hack, Race; meeting, from a financial point of view, it has. .realised the committee's 'anticipations, i Four bookmakers paid the stipulated fee (£2 2s), and seemed to do good business. One gratifying feature was that the racing was clean and fr.ee from any serious accidents, although there were three or four spills. The committee intend to greatly improve the course before any more racing is done on it.
