THE TARANAKI BOYS IN
CHRISTCHURCH.

CHRISTCHURCH, March 25. The weather - still continues fine in Christchurch. There .was a para.de in camp yesterday, and the Taranaki battalion went to Sumner in the afternoon.
There will be an .inspection parade to-morrow. The boys and officers are all well. Stratford gairied the Colonel's certificate for the neatest tent. ' Lieut. Gaukrodger's services are indispensable, and Colonel , Loveday vi ants him to: remain- trll after Easter.'
Quartermaster Bacy and Adjutant Gray, senior ' of the battalion, have heavy^ duties, and are doing them well. Major Sandford visited the camp (his morning. Major Elliot, late aide-de-camp to liord Glasgow, .one-time Governor of New Zealand, was in damp .all day yesterday,, and was greatly pleased with the bqys.
