It is deemed impracticable to remove Vcrisehe^tfti,' the Italian entombed in the mine, by means of diving dress, and the water is being lowered six feet per day. The diveijs convoy regular food supplies to the man. The Italian Consul expresses his profound thanks for the efforts of the brave diver Hughes and the efforts of others, which he says are so splendidly characteristic of the race.
