During the past week business has been fairly brisk. At the potiltry sale on Saturday ' there was a good attendance,' the prices realised being as fol- ; lou s : — Hens, Is 2d to Is 8d ; pullets, is 6d to Is 9d> cockerels, Is 4d to 2s, ducks, Is 3d to Is lOd, turkey hens, 2s 3d to 2s 9d; geese, 2s 9d. Fruit has been of a poor quality, but good prices! have been maintained. Peaches, 4s 6d! to os 6d ; pears, 5s t© 5s 6d ; plums, 3s ; ] apples,*' 2s- 3d -to- 3s' 6d; Cape goose- j berries, 4£d lb ; tomatoes, Is 3d to 2s j * tid ; quinces, Is 6d to 2s ; bananas, 6s to 7a 6d.
