The London Chamber of Commerce recommends the commercial union of the Empire on a preferential basis, also raising a portion of the revenue on foreign manufactures, in order to counteract unfair competition. The demand of the Free Traders for a poll of the whole Chamber was agreed to. / A special meeting of the London Chamber of Commerce' resolved that the large majority of tho fiscal system was no longer suitable for the needs of the country.
