All the passengers are enthusiastic regarding the conduct Of the officers and men and the lifeboatmen.
A Lloyd's telegram to L day says thaii the Suevic has 23 feet of water in the three fore-compartments, but that the after part is dry. Attempts are being made to rescue the passengers 7 effects. The Agents-General met the passengers in London this evening with an offer of temporary aid.
(Tho Suevic is. one pf-ike^ne fleet of vessels of the IVbHe Star L'fne. She is of about 12/500 tons and is well known in the sister colonies.W
