Messrs Buckland & Sons report: — Horses: For active heavy colts a good demand at from £42 to £45, medium £19 to £30 10s, light harness sorts £9 15s to £18, buggy horses and good hacks £12 10s >o £21, ordinary £3 15» to £8.
Hides, skins, tallow, etc.— Hides: ()-•: s£d to Cj?-d, cow s§d to 6£d, kip nsd to 6d, horse 7s Gd to 14s, calf 6£d, damaged hide 32d 'o 4.\d, horse hair Is 4d to Is 9*d, tallow 21s 6d to 26s 9d, bone* £4 15s to £0. Skins: Best pelts and lambs' 3s 3d to 3s Gd, others Is to '-is Id.
Cattle: At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle woro from £2 10s to £'> 15s dry cows 30s to £3 10s ; fat and young calves sold freely at an advance. There was a full supply of fat cattle an^j prices were easier throughout. Ox bee? sold to 20s per 1001 b, cow to 18s, s.ieers racked from £5 10s to £10 2s 6d, cows £3 10s to £G 13s (346 sold). The sheep pens were well filled. Prices diJ not keep last week's rise. Best wethers to 345, heavy ewes tq 21s 9d (1580 sold). Lambs, in average numbers, from 10s to 15s 3d (370 sold). Pigs were sc.rcelv up to recent quotations, except fo. goo -. porkers.
