HORTICULTURE.
SHOW AT INGLEWOOD. The annual horticultural and poultry show under the auspices of the Inglewood Society iopened on Thursday afternoon, ' and was well patronised. The entries as a whole compared favourably with previous years, and competition in many classes was particularly keen. Figuring prominently among the prize- 1 winners in the poultry section are several New Plymouth exhibitors — Messrs. S. Teed, S. Crisp, Burgess, etc., all obtaining firsts. Mr. W. Messenger was an obliging secretary, and the stewards were all energetic in their efforts to en- . sure the smooth running of the show. Details :—- POULTRY. Judge.: Mr. A. C. Johnson.
