He also emphasised the importance of family religion. Messrs H-andley and Maunder also addressed the Conference. Captain' MfcAulay said that ha belonged to that •branch of tbe church that sought out the flotsaiu -and jetsam of society. He wished tha Primitive Methodist Church muchl success. On behalf of the Conference, the Rev. G. H. Mann and Mr T. Booth replied. Mr M-anD agreed with the remarks of Rev. Osborae on the need for family religion, and urged the. Church to greater earnestness and enthusiasm in reaching the masses of the people. Mr T. Booth spoke on his experience of men en tbo gum-fields who were the derelicts of t society. These men' needed the Gospel. The No-License deputation consisted of Messrs , C. E. Bellringer, Goodacre and Maunder. Each speaker emphasised the success of No-Ucense in the colony, and spokfc hopefully of the future. In reply the Rev. J. OP phert delivered a. most eloquenjt addrebs, as also did Mr Lill, of Ashbur-
