BATHING WITHOUT COSTUMES.
Per Press Association. Wanganui, January 14. At the Police Court this morning, a seaman of a steamer 1 in port was charged with opposing himself when •having* a swim. Counsel for accused ©aid; that when remonstrated' with the latter immediately went below and dressed. He argued that as the exposure was not wilful a penalty could not be imposed, contending that the section of the Police Offences 'Act dealing with such; cases was repealed in the making of- t<h6 new Act.
