CHIEF OF POLICE MURDERED.

AN UNSUCCESSFUL RAID. Received January 14, 8.2 a.m. St. iPetersburg, January 13. M. Bresgesnivoski, Chief of 1 (Poiice in the Dazestem province of Caucasia, was murdered. The "assassin escaped. A strong force of police raided the Okhto quarter, of St. Petersburg in the night, and captured three revolutionaries.' The latter fought with revolvers and drove the poHee out of the courtyard. They escaped alter killing a policeman.
