The Engineer waß authorised to arrange witb Smart Bros, for extending the contract time for delivery of galvanised piping, angle afcd stop cocks, tor a further period or six months. The Engineer was given permission to take other work than that of the Borough on condition that he devotes such time to the Borough works as may he found needful from time to, time, his charges for time so devoted to Borough works to be at the rate of ; £1 per day, this arrangement to hold good until the expiration- of the original term otf his engagement.
