A COMPLAINT.
(To th^Editor.) Sir,— l beg to bring under your notice, and, through the ktiaidness of the press, those who can set the ' matter 1 right, that which affects every person in the community. Last evening I found I was late in posting at the Post Office a letter' to England via San Francisco, and wishing 5 at all costs to catch that mail, I hurried to lh" railway station in order to be in time for tho train that -leaves^ there .for the Breakwater some time after 8 p.m. When I got to the st a tion I was informed by two railway otmciaJSj that by posting my letter in the railway v.an such letter would remain there until - the following morning, and accordingly would not go by the San Francisco mail. -Now my contention is that, on an „ important occaion like thds, when a 'iHrisco mail is leaving "for the Old- Country, it would be» advisable—^aye, and proper — that the postal van attached to the Breakwater train be something more thian a 1 'dummy. This incdnvenienoe caused me of course to ad»nt so9»e other means, anld through the kindness of a young lady,- 1 feel sure my letter is "now on its way to 'England. —I am, i&c, X J.J.S.
