ACCIDENT AT HAWERA.
RAILWAY PORTER KILLED. Per Press Association. Hawera, January 8. Patrick McCarty, a porter at Hewera railway station, raged 27 was killed by the engine of the Jmail train during shunting operations. Terrible injuries were inflicted, the bead [being reduced to a pulp and the body idiwembowielled. A wife and two young children are left. . ;•
