The Inter-Stato Ccmmerce Commission, during inquiries at Washington, as to railway disasters, obtained evidence which showed inefficient manr agement and recklessness on the part of employees. One witness worked sixty (?) hours with eight for sleep. Those cases in which men worked twenty-four hours continuously were not uncommon. Congress will limit the hours of continuous labour to sixteen.
