'At a meeting iO* the Trades and Labour Council to-night, it was decided to send a letter to the Government drawing 'attention to: tih'e suffering experienced by recent assisted imSmigrants, and asking that a stop be put to the immigration of unsuitable people. The CoUmqiL was favourable to the immigration of farm labourers.
