(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the Mutual Improvement Society's meeting on Tuesday Mr Coad gave an interesting account of 'his .recent visit to the hot springs at Ttotorua, bringing vividly 'before 'his audience the appearance and character of the weird mad springs and geyseers. Specimens' of .sulphur and other minerals were show/n, and their nature and formation" "explained. Such lectures are much : needed .in these days of eudhre parties, dances, etc.
