RECREATION GROUND BOARD.
A meeting of tho Board was -held at the office of the 'Secretary, 'Eg)montst.j.on Monday last . Present: Mr F P. Corkill (chairman'), Messrs C. W. Govett, S. Percys-Smith, W. L. TSfew man, R. C. Hughes, Harris Ford, E. Dockrill, end D. nutchfn. Mr Smith reported that about SOO native trees had been planted in the grounds*. The corrtmittee appointed to exaon-> me the site of tho. proposed new entrance to the ground's from (xilbertst. reported favourably,/and recommended that the planting of native trees on ,<?ach side be held ovor until next soa^on, and that the grounds bo ploughed about February. . • The Board being about to erect a marble ta/blot jba, , the 'Grouinds with the nanws of deceaswi benefactors rcarved thereon, considered what should be the, neoessa^ qualification. It was that "the names of . deoeassrl benefactors be carved on the tablet for the following reason* :— l. Distinguished service" to the Grounds ; 2. Donations during life, or by legacy of not less than £25 at one time,: 3. Membership on tha Board for "fifteen years and 1 upwards. The question of fixing a site for the tablet was loft to the Tafrtet J^mmit*. tee. . - , '' ' ;'""■• ' It was resolved, That in the opinion of this Board, Mr T. K.
