MR NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY AUCTION REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday pigs sold at fairly good prices, iweaners malting 5/ to *S/, small stores 12/ to 13/6. Gig, horse and harness £15. At the mart a fair quantity of poultry came forward and good prices were realised. Cockerels made 1/4 to 1/7, pullets 1/2 to 2/6, hens 1/2 to 1/9. .A quantity of .inferior potatoes was cleared at 3/ to 8/6 per cwt. A large quantity of groceries and sundries found buyers at bargain prices. Fruit. — Owing, no doubt, -to the cold weather, very little business is being done with fruit. 'Apples are very plentiful and dull of sale. I Cfuote cooking apples 1/6 to 2/6 per box, 4/ to 5/ per case. 'Dessert 4/ to .6/ per case. Oranges 2/6 to 6/, lemons 4/ to 5/, jam melons 6/ to 9/ per cwt, pumpkins 6/ to 8/ per cwt. Cattle.HA*t WaiwafeSaiho on Tuesday, owing to the rough weather, there- was a small yarding and attendance. Calves made 10/ to 11/, 12 to 18 months heifers 21s *to 275, 18 <to 20 nronUhs steers 29s to 345, springing heifer's £3 8s 6d, store cows 16s 6d to 30s, cows in calf 25s to 70s, ewes in lamb 14s 3d, old do. ss.
