Moore carn't be much older than when he waH -appointed, arid his ax^verieince cant be much less, tiherefore, the cause given is only a blind. Has Mr Andrews wot butrtion-holed the other members of th» Council and the Chairman in favour of another man ? And is this other man 'his 'brother ? Well, sir,- if -the other , memlbers of the Council are worth their salt they will not allow Cr. Andrews to deal unfairly with one of the Council's employees. Everyone knows that Moor© has been contracting for over thirty years, completing similar work to the satisfaction of professional men, and must hava forgotten metre about road m-ak'in'g than (Mr Andrews ever leafnt. JNbt'hing bas been done to this length of road for over eighteen months, and considering the weather and the time Moore was appointed, and there being a shortage of stone on this length of road, it is m firstclass order for this time of the year-: — I am, &c,
