RECORD SALE OF WOOL AND SKINS.
Per Press Association. ; . Gisborne,. ' May 4. . The sale of ,-, wool, sheep and skins to-day is claimed to, fee a record' for the district, and prices , were the highest realised locally. Bidding was spirited. Ordinary crossbred station wool brought to lOd, lighter B£d to 9d> .lambs, in strong demand [at lO£d for clean lots, rough 8d to B£d (excel.lenfl samples). I%i«is4a^on's crutchings realised to B£d, locks made to ss&:Tne offering of skins was heavy and competition active up to 9f d per 1b for well saved clean wool. Parcels of ordinary station slrins averaged 9d : green and salted sold at 4s to 6s each.
