The large subscription (over four fold) for the forfeited shares offeree by tender by the Bank of New Zea land shows confidence in the institu tion, and indicates that money is plentiful, considering that investors will get only about two and a half pei cent, for their money. It is evident that buyers are anticipating the future and look forward to a considerable rise in price of this stock. There t» a fair demand for all good investment stocks, but not much change in prices. For local stocks there are buyers of New Plymouth Gas, and sellers of Sash and Door shares. , New Plymouth, Oct. 20, 1905.
