| lIHEUMATIC & GOUTY AFFECTIONS. (By "Origin.") The unnatural retention of uric acid and other urinary and biliary poisons in the blood produces a group of complaints which inflict upon humanity long continued suffering and intense pain. The most comnion of these complaints ,aTe rheumatism, gout, lumbago, sciatica, and neuralgia. The kidneys and liver are the organs upon which- nature has imposed the task of extracting from the blood certain matter which is being continuously manufactured in the body, owing to the wasting of the tissues. _ It j is as necessary to life that the wasting I of the tissues must proceed uninterrupte dly as it is that the substance of the body must be regularly renewed by the J food we eat, the water we drink, and ! the air we breathe. It is equally necessary to health that the waste matter should be expelled from the body continuously, ior its presence in the blood entails disease or death. ' The treatment of rheumatic and gouty I affections by the outward application of ; liniments, ointments, and embrocations is seldom productive of much lasting benefit. They may afford temporary relief in some cases.but they do not reach ' the seat of the disorder. The only way . in which health can be permanently re- | stored, and pain permanently removed, is to take measures to ensure the reguI lar action of the kidneys and the liver. I When these organs are performing their , allotted task naturally and freely, the1 uric acid, and other urinary and biliary ' poisons, pass from tj^ system through the ordinary channels, and any suffering : caused by the presence of such poisons in the blood is at an end. Owing to its specific action, Warner's Safe Cure, every moment during the past twenty-five years, has been demonstrating its remaricable power of restoring the kidneys and liver to health and activity. "Warner's Safe Cure not only cures Bright's Disease., and other specific diseases of thote vital organs, but rheumatism, §out, gravel, stone, bladder troubles, indigestion, biliousness, anaemia, impure blood, and all disorders caused by, the retention in the system of urinary and biliary poisons, speedily yield to the influence of the medicine, simply because of its healing and stimulating influence upon the kidneys and the v liver. Cures thus effected are permanent, simply because they are natural. A simple test to make as to whether the kidneys are healthy is to place some urine, passed the first thing in the morning, in a covered glass, and le.t it stand until next morning. »If it is then cloudy, shows a sediment like brick-dust, is of an unnatural colour, or has particles floating about in it, the kidneys are weak or diseased, and steps must immediately be taken to restore their- vigour, or Bright's Disease, Diabetes, or some of I the many manifestations of uric poison' ing will result.
