At the; Hayumrkot on Sulunluy a good number of pig's came in, and w>eaners made 5s to 8s Od, small stores 10s to 16s, calf 2s. Fruit and shelter trees sold at low prices. At the mart, a fair number of good poultry camq forward, and realised satisfactory prices. Ducks • made, Is aid to 2s 6d, hens Is 3d to 2s 3d, laying ' hens i and pulletst 2s 5d to 3s; roosters Is 6d« to ss. Sundries and furniture were sold at prices in favour of buyers. Frurtj has been ' very scarce this week, and prices ranged as follows :— Mandarins |55,6 d' to 7s, cooking apples 5s 6d to 7s, dessertf do. 7s to 9s 6|d, bananas 3s to 6s per case. Cattle.— On Monday I held a clearing sale on account of Mr F. J. Fisher, on the Beaconsfield Road. Early oalvers made from £5 10s to £7 15s, late calvers £3 2s 6d 'to £ o, empty cows £2 10s to £2 17s 6d, bull £3 10s. Household furniture and farm iools made low prices. At Stratford on Tuesday bidding ■was quiet ; a good many linee were passed in. Prices ranged as follows :— Forward store cows £3 19s frd, stores' £2 15s to £3 ss, springing heifers (forward) £4 10s to £5 103. backward springers £3 10s, 12 to 15mos heifers £2 2s Cd to £2 ss, 18 to20mos steers £2 9s to £2 13s 6d, weaners 24s to 33s 6d. On Wednesday I held a sal© at the Stratford yards on account of Mr T. Dodunski. Forward cows 'made £412s Od to £6, backward do. £3 12s 6d to £4 10s, store cows £1 10s to £2 m 10s, heifer and steer calves 33s to 33s 6d, horse £23. On the same day I hold a clearing s^He at Okato on account of Mr E. King. The cows were a nice lot, ' a "\^arge per centage being Jerseys. There waS^ good attendance of local buyerd.
