*,The rink still commands crowded Rouses. About 300 children attended tjhis morning. ': The Polo match on skates played on Thursday night, Star v. Tukapa, was >on by Tufcapa, 5 goals to ' 3 goals. The Star team -was Messrs McAlpine, Hobday; Woods, Avery, Bosisto. Tukapa team, Messrs Buxton, Cathro. fuke, Nixon, Mclntosh. It was a most j exciting game, and resulted in a challenge from, the Star to play Tukapa on Thursday next. Goals were scored ior Star by Avery and Bosisto, for tukapa 'by Cathro and Mclntosh. Tonight there is to be a Hoop Race on •-'rates, and a good race is looked for. The Masquerade Carnival is to be iheld ; on Thursday and Friday, July 20th and 21st, and only a limited 'number of tickets will be issued, to overcrowding. Handsome prizes will be given. ; During the next six weeks special attractions in the form of Mile Races, I Championship Mile, Pair Races, Ladies' [Races, '• and * also Ladies Hockey >Match, and the great American Toboggan Slide and Obstacle Race will be arranged; The Polo matches between Star and Tukapa are to be decided by points after three matches have been concluded.
