Newman was voted to the chair (i n tho absence of Mr 0. Samuel), and there wore also present : Messrs A. D. Gray, Ab.,Goldwater, C. M. Leppeh D. O'Brioa, " F. Watson, and W. C. Weston. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs Samuel, Paul, King, and" Symes. Tho case of Norman Campbell for having made statements when applying for a jockey "s license which, jn the opinion of the committee were wilfully false, was considered, and disqualification made for twelve ra.on.ilis'. F. Flynn. of Hawera, made application for the removal of the disqualification incurred by him and the mare Kathleen Mavourneen for having taken part in unregistered meetings. It was decided to remove the disqualification, twelve months having expired since the date when the applicant last took part in unregistered racing. A similar application referring .to A. Lucas, of New Plymouth, and <he horse Simple Simon, wass held over to June Ist, when the period of 12 months will expiie. Jockeys' licenses were grantqd to Jack O'Connell and Bert Russell, and a stable servant's permit .to P. O'Brien. It was decided to write off the forfeit of £4, owing by R. Ivingan] (deceased ).
