With reference to the case exposed by Mr T. E. Taylor, M.H.R., Mrs King, keeper of the nursing home where the girl died, states ihat Mr Seddon must have been misled as to the facts. The mother was aM'are of the girl's condition, but was reluctant io go to the police, fearing it would lead to exposure and further shame for her family. The girl bad never suffered from any illness, and was a simple, modest girl, and Bright' s disease would probably never have appeared but for the brutal, wrong done her. In the nursing home everything possible was done for the g-ir], and there was not a single circumstance to lessen the crime cf the seducer. The police deny having been approached.
