Hi'slop, was married to Dr Shand at Wellington on (Wednesday, Dr Crawford, house surgeon at the Wanganui 'Hospital.- has had the degree M.l>. conferred upon him by the New Zealand University. The Anglican Bishop of Christchurch (Dr 'Julius), who broke down in health some tiime g-go. and left on a visit to England, was to have started from London on Thursday last on his 1 ie turn to ...New ' Zealand.
