Auckland, March 17. * Messrs Bucklanc and Son ; s report :— Horses.— At the Haymarket medium and light colts brought from £18 to £28, aged draughts £10 to £18 10s, buggy horses and good hacks £14 10s to £24 ss, light aud ordinary £6 2s 6d to £13. Hides, skins, tallow, etc. — Hides : Ox J^d to Ggd, cow 4gd to 4|d, kip 4d to 4^d, calf o^d. Tails Is 6d per dozen. Bones ss. Tallow, 15s 6d to 17s 9d. Skins 2s lOd to 4s Gd. Pelts, salted 2s Id Io 2s 9d, dry and damped 4d to Is 4d, lamb 2s 4d to 3s, dry 9d to Is. Grain, etc. — Maize, in short supply, advanced Id, and is from 2s lOd to 3s Id. Oats.— Firm, at late rates, 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Chaff, in fair supply at £4 5s ex rail, and £4 15s to £5 ex store ; £5 10s for southern. Bran, £3 10s. Sharps, unprocurable. At the second sheep fair of the season at Eemuera on Tuesday there was yarded oloso^on 500 head, which sold at satisfactory figures throughout, although prices were slightly lower. Ac- Kunciman, on Wednesday, there was a full muster of stock of all classes. Two year old steers sold to £5 Jss. Dairy cows were in demand., those near profit selling to £8 \oa, heifers to £6 10s. Calves were required, also yearlings, at a slight adviance on receut sales. Stock of all classes was well represented. At Ilemurra, en Thursday, *qows at profit sold iip, to £8 15s, heifers to £6 ss, dry cows U> £3 10s. Fat and young calves were in lull supply .^m'all selling to Bs, medium to 17s, heavy io £2 us (73 sold). There was an average yarding- of fat cattle, mostly Jig-lit weights, and last week's values were sustained, ox beef selling to 225" the 100 Ib, cow to 20s. Steers ranged from £6 to £10 10s, cows £5 to i £7 17s 6d (260 sold). Pat sheep were well represented aiud sold freely, best I wethers reaching to 22s I'd, ewes to 21s 9-d, lighter weights mixed -.sexes ! 14s 6d io 17s 6d (1450 sold). Lambs were in a\erasyp numbers.
