There was a good attendance at Lancaster Park for the Championship Athletic Meeting, although the day was colcl and overcast. The visiting athletes all showed good form. Shrubib, won the three mile event with' ease, and Duffey won his heat of the 100 Yards Championship, pulling up to 10 sec dead, and he appears to have the Championship at his mercy. Tn the | 75' Yards Handicap ho was second in his heat, conceding 9yds 'to the -winner. He won the semi-final through 1 beating- the started. .but could not get |up in the final.
