A resident of Baku states that during the original disturbance the Tartars besieged the larger houses, and that Adamotf, a tradesmen, from his balcony, shot thirty-three Tartars before falling. Thereupon the crowd fired petroleum at Adamoff's doorway and nineteen inmates were suffocated. The peasant rising is extending-, and sixty districts are now affected. M. Buliguine (Minister of the Interior) declares his inability to guarantee tranquillity in the event of the mobilisation of three hundred thousand men.
