In reply to a question the Premier said the Government agent of the labor schooner Clansman on the last trip to the islands was not aware that one of tho returned islanders hac. TJecn tomahawked as soon as he landed at Betabay, as alleged by a member of the crow, The Premier objected to examine seamen at the Bar of the House, but said that if a specilic charge was proferred it -vvould be thoroughly investigated.
