Exciting matches were played between Greenmeadows and Wellington, Auckland azid Wellington, and Auckland and Feildmg. Greenmeadows saved their unbeaten record by defeating Wellington, after a tic the winning shot being very warmly applauded. Up to the 11th head Wanganui had the lead, but a clever 4 secured by iTawcra put the teams on an equal footing, and from that out the issue was never in doubt. Hastings 25 v. Wanganui 16.—Hastings led to the seventh head, vhen Wanganui scored a pair and v ith three heads had 9 to their opponents' (). The thirteenth, fourteenth. and fifteenth heads gave Hasting,? a two on each, and made their lead S, which they maintained to the close, and won by 9.
