Narrow Escape of the Penguin.

» ■ Per Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 3. The Penguin, from Nelson and Picton, was struck on the quarter by a heavy sea when' entering the Wellington Heads this morning, and narrowly escaped being driven ashore. Several passengers were injured, but none seriously. 1 Tho steamer was splendidly handled by Captain Satn Holford.
