The annual meeting of the New Zealand Trotting- Association way held at Chribtchurch. The election of the Board for the ensuing year resulted in the return of Messrs C. L. Mark and J. H. Pollock (North Island), P. Selig, D. McLean, W. G. Garrard. W. Hay ward, A. L. Myors, T. Marr, and V. C. S. Howell (South Island). The first meeting of the new Board will bo hold on September 28th.
Martian incurs a penalty for the New Zealand Cup, as the condition this year roads "the winner of any race cr races." and not "any handicap race." His penalty will be 71bs, which will raise his impost to 8.12, or 3 !bs loss than ho carried in the Randwick Plate, and a quarter mile loss to travel.
