FIERCE LAND FIGHTING.

GREAT GALLANTRY. ADVANCE ON MUKDEN. London, July 22. The Daily Telegraph's Mukden correspondent, cabling on tho ]Uth, reports that fierce fighting had been proceeding for two days, and was still continuing. The Japanese, in superior strength (especially in their artillery arm), attacked with great daring, but the Russians fought with equal gallantry. They were, however, outflanked, ami retreated with heavy losses. The name of the place where this battle occurred is suppressed by tho censor. A Moscow paper states that General Kuroki has driven in General Kuropatkin's right flank, and is now marching on Mukden.
